As a young teenager, when you can bet that I didn’t agree with my parents’ decision to buy me white bedroom furniture sets, I was wondering why they did it. But really, who agrees with anything their parents say at that age? So anyway, as I remember it, I wanted my room to be full of black bedroom furniture and dark, and I think I even asked to paint the walls black at one point. Of course none of that ever happened because my parents told me it would make the room look small and depressing, and now that I’ve grown up some more I have to say they were right about everything they said in regards to white furniture. Just don’t let them hear me say that!

It is quite simple really, in my opinion anyway; it all comes down to how the furniture and colors in a bedroom help to set the mood for what that room is all about. A bedroom is obviously meant for sleeping in, apart from that other bed-related activity that I won’t go into here, and in my opinion white is the most peaceful and soothing color that you could choose. White furniture is definitely not the most natural looking color, because I haven’t seen too many pure white trees in my time, but using white bedroom furniture sets provides a great contrast with natural hardwood floors for example. Only after you have done your research will you be ready to move on to the next steps in the purchase, because once the paint is on and the furniture is purchased it may be some time before you can afford to change it.
